Day one  ·  the beginning of everything after

We are Vaelos

A new company. A blank page with a heartbeat. Today we stop describing the thing we want to build and start building it — in public, on purpose, together.

01 — Manifesto

Five things we believe
before we've earned the right to.

Every company starts with a story it tells itself. This is ours, written down while it's still fragile — so we can be held to it later.

I

Start before you're ready

Readiness is a story people tell to delay the first commit. The first version is supposed to be embarrassing. Ours already is, and it's live.

II

Craft is the moat

Anyone can assemble features. Almost nobody sweats the fifth decimal of a transition curve. We intend to be unreasonable about details nobody asked us to fix.

III

Small team, wide orbit

Headcount is a cost, not an achievement. We'd rather be a handful of people with excellent tools and an absurd amount of leverage.

IV

Work in the open

Progress is more useful when it's visible. Wins, dead ends, rewrites — all of it. The audit trail is the artifact.

V

Enjoy the whole thing

Companies are long. If the middle isn't fun, the ending won't be either. So: build serious things, unseriously. Celebrate the small stuff loudly — starting with today.

02 — Trajectory

Where this goes
from here.

Not a roadmap. A direction of travel, with the honesty that the middle three will change.

  1. Today

    Ignition

A name, a domain, a repository, and a decision that can't be un-made. The hardest step is the one that turns an idea into a thing with a date attached.

  2. Next

    First light

Get something real into real hands. Not a waitlist — a working thing that solves one problem embarrassingly well.

  3. Then

    Momentum

Tighten the loop between what we hear and what we ship until the gap is measured in hours. Speed compounds; so does the trust it buys.

  4. After that

    Escape velocity

The point where the work pulls us forward instead of the other way around. We'll know it when the roadmap starts writing itself.

  5. Someday

    Unwritten

Deliberately blank. The best chapter is the one we can't see from here.

03 — Crew

The whole company,
in one line.

Everyone who has ever built anything worth having started exactly here: too few people, too little time, far too much ambition. Highly recommended.

04 — Signal

Here's to
the beginning.

Raise something. Press the button. Then get back to work — there's a lot of it, and that's the best part.

Tip: press V anywhere for fireworks.
